Pankaj Goyal, DDS, filed a motion for a restricted permit to practice dentistry in a volunteer setting in May. The application came just days before Dr. Goyal pleaded guilty to three forgery charges. The dentist was convicted of using fraudulent credentials to obtain a general anesthesia certification.
The Arizona Dental Board unanimously voted to re-open multiple investigations into Dr. Goyal’s credentials and suspend his license through an emergency motion. One board member claimed the reason for the investigation was to revoke Dr. Goyal’s license, ABC15 reports.
Dr. Goyal did not answer questions following the hearing.
