The Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act was passed unanimously in the U.S. Senate and passed with a 382-12 vote in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to a Jan. 9 news release from the American Dental Association.

The ADA sent a letter to Congress prior to the bill being passed, pushing to improve veteran’s access to high-quality dental care, either through the Department of Veterans Affairs Dentistry or through private dentists.

President Biden signed the bill into law Jan. 2, the release said.
