Kami Hoss, DDS, co-founder and CEO of San Diego-based Super Dentists, said some patients have been hesitant to get dental work done. He cited an American Dental Association survey that found nearly 15 percent of patients want a vaccine before they return to the dentist.

To help ease parents’ minds, the pediatric dentist recently wrote the book, If Your Mouth Could Talk.

“I had 300 pages of stats on what keeps parents up at night,” Dr. Hoss told KGTV. “I realized that so many of them could be related back to their mouths, and their kids’ mouths. So, I decided to write a book about it.”

Dr. Hoss is also composing songs for the Super Dentists.

“We do all of these things with characters, music and the movies so the kids associate something positive to their oral health,” Dr. Hoss said.
