The initiative is looking for startup ideas that are developing preventive and minimally invasive solutions that can be administered both inside and outside dental practices, closing racial, socioeconomic or geographical gaps in oral care and bringing dental and medical care closer together, according to a March 13 news release.
Five early stage startup projects will be chosen to participate in Smile Health, providing mentorship and educational opportunities from leaders in the dental industry. Participants will also receive $10,000.
This is the second year of the program and applications are open until May 5.
