Chicago Dental Society installs 2021 president

Dean Nicholas, DDS, was sworn in Nov. 8 as 2021 president of the Chicago Dental Society, according to a Dec. 2 news release obtained by Becker’s.

Dr. Nicholas, one of five new board officers joining Chicago Dental Society leadership, has been actively involved with CDS for years, previously serving as secretary, vice president, treasurer and president-elect of the organization. Dr. Nicholas earned his degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Dentistry in 1986 and has been practicing general dentistry for more than 30 years.

As president, Dr. Nicholas will lead planning efforts for CDS’ 156th, all-virtual Midwinter Meeting, taking place Feb. 25-27.

Established in 1864, CDS is the largest local society of the American Dental Association.
