The first-of-its-kind program seeks to alleviate a shortage of scientists in the dental industry who can translate scientific findings into dental care, according to a Nov. 11 news release. Graduates will receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery/Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering.
The school will welcome its first cohort of students in the fall.
