Police arrested Hugo Moraes-DeLima after receiving reports of dental work being performed inside of a hotel room. Police told the news station they found an impromptu operating setup, medication and equipment such as dental drills, suction machines and a portable X-ray machine in the hotel room.
While speaking with Mr. Moraes-DeLima in the hotel room, police said a man with gauze in his mouth walked out of the bathroom and told police he had just gotten a dental procedure done.
Mr. Moraes-DeLima was charged with practicing dentistry without a license and illegal sale of prescription drugs. He is being held on a $350,000 bond.
