Delta Dental companies donated $61M in 2017: 4 key points

Delta Dental companies’ reported member organizations donated more than $61 million in 2017, benefitting more than 10.2 million individuals nationwide.

Here are four key points:

1. In 2017, Delta Dental supported 1,425 programs across the U.S., including oral health programs and treatments for at-risk children.

2. Delta Dental recorded more than 4.2 million individuals were served by the Delta Dental companies’ dental prevention initiatives in 2017, including community water fluoridation, school sealant programs and screenings.

3. The companies provided treatments for dental diseases and cavities for more than 1.3 million at-risk children and adults.

4. More than 330,000 individuals benefited from Delta Dental companies’ support of oral health research, dental workforce education, dental sponsorships and non-health-related aid.
