Dental College of Georgia dean dies

Nancy Young, DMD, dean of the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta (Ga.) University died June 6 at the age of 58. 

Augusta University President Dr. Russell Keen announced Dr. Young’s death June 8, calling her a remarkable leader and devoted educator in a statement shared on the university’s Facebook page.

Dr. Young was an alumna of the dental school, earning her dental degree in 2006. She joined as a faculty member in 2012 and served in a variety of other roles before being appointed dean in 2022. 

An official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
