The city of Hollister, Calif., recently welcomed its first dental hygiene practice, KSBW reported Nov. 3.
Vanessa Salinas, a registered dental hygienist in alternative practice, opened Vibrant Smiles in October.
The practice focuses on preventive care, offering teeth cleanings, oral cancer screenings and fluoride therapy. Patients are referred to dentists if additional dental work is needed. The practice also has a mobile unit to provide care at additional locations, including nursing homes, schools and fire academies.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
