Envista Smile Project donates $50K to dental diversity scholarship

The Envista Smile Project, a nonprofit organization created by dental supply company Envista, donated $50,000 to the Dr. Robert Tanner Freeman Scholarship.

The scholarship aims to increase diversity in the dental industry by providing dental school scholarships to underrepresented minority students, according to an April 5 news release. 

The Dental Trade Alliance Foundation and United Negro College Fund created the initiative in June 2021, the report said.
