A man and a woman in Orlando, Fla., have been charged with running a fake dental practice out of an office building, according to an Oct. 1 report from Fox affiliate WOFL.
Carlos Rendon has been posing as a dentist and performing dental procedures for a number of years with his sister Yorlady Rendon acting as his assistant, according to an investigation conducted by the Florida Department of Health.
Mr. Rendon and Ms. Rendon took cash payments in exchange for dental work, investigators said.
Investigators have not determined how the scheme was initially discovered and whether other charges could follow.
Both individuals are facing felony charges, the report said.
