Dr. Snyder served in the U.S. Army and was a dental officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He also was president of multiple organizations, including the Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, Ohio Dental Society of Anesthesiology and Great Lakes Society of Oral Surgeons. He was the chairman of the anesthesiology committee of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a special consultant to the Ohio State Dental Board.
Dr. Snyder received his bachelor’s, master’s and dental degrees from Columbus-based Ohio State University, where he later was an associate professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery and anesthesiology. For many years, Dr. Snyder was also the director of continuing education for those departments.
Additionally, Dr. Snyder owned and was a senior partner at Columbus-based Snyder, Evans and Anderson, a group oral and maxillofacial surgery practice.
