Former dental office manager sentenced to prison for stealing $249K from Las Vegas dental practice

A former dental officer manager who stole $249,000 from a Las Vegas dental practice has been sentenced to prison, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported June 15.

Danielle Powers, 42, pleaded guilty in May to charges of theft and embezzlement of thousands of dollars from several dental practices. As part of her plea deal, Ms. Powers only pleaded guilty to charges from one dental practice, while charges related to the other dental practices were dropped. 

A judge sentenced her June 14 to three to eight years in prison. She was also ordered to pay $249,216 in restitution.
