Gov. Kemp delivered the proposal during the state’s annual Eggs and Issues Breakfast, a networking event used to kick off the state’s legislative session and provide a status update on the state’s economy.
The plan, along with a proposed medical school at the University of Georgia in Athens, aims to alleviate the state’s healthcare workforce shortages by providing more training for dentists and physicians.
The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is the state’s only other dental school.
