The Atlanta-based school will have space for 45 orthodontic residents in each class, compared to the current number of 36 after approval from the Commission on Dental Accreditation, according to a Sept. 22 news release.
The program is the largest orthodontic residency program in the country, training students in the specialties of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, the release said.
This is the second time the school has received approval to increase its class size, expanding from 18 residents to 36 in 2020.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
