The High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine has launched HPU Health’s flagship dental location in High Point, N.C.
HPU Health Plaza Dental will provide the school’s dental students with real-world learning opportunities on the day-to-day operations of a dental practice, according to a July 30 news release from the university.
HPU Health is a nonprofit academic dental network that owns and operates dental practices across North Carolina.
Students begin training at HPU Health locations as early as five weeks into the first year of dental school.
The dental school is welcoming its second cohort of 60 students Aug. 4, the release said.
