Workers estimate nearly a thousand teeth were found in the wall. Construction is underway to renovate the former practice into a commercial space.
Built in 1900, the original building was first occupied by dentist Clarence Whittington. It then housed dentist Lester G. Youmans until the 1930s.
Police have not found evidence of a crime. The construction crew has since disposed the teeth. Teeth have also been found in the walls of former dentists’ offices in Greensboro, Ga., and Carrolton, Ga.
