The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation suspended the dental license and controlled substance license of Islam Naem, DDS, according to a report from the department.

Dr. Naem’s license was temporarily suspended in September because he posed “an imminent danger to the public” because of the over-sedation of a patient with Propofol when he did not possess a sedation permit.

Dr. Naem’s dental license will be suspended for four months, effective Nov. 28, followed by two years of probation.
