ImmediaDent allegedly took money from patients for anticipated services before closing in March 2020. The state’s attorney general’s office began investigating the practice after receiving complaints from former patients. The practice worked with the office’s Consumer Protection Division to identify affected patients and create an avenue for providing refunds.

The settlement will be paid in refunds to more than 22,000 state residents, according to an Aug. 8 news release.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
