Wichita (Kan.) Family Dental has provided notice of a data breach impacting 1,273 individuals, according to a filing with the HHS Office for Civil Rights.
In May 2026, the practice became aware of unauthorized access to an employee’s email account. An investigation determined that certain mail items were accessed by the unauthorized party, according to a recent notice from Wichita Family Dental.
Information that may have been impacted includes names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, financial account information and dental records.
Both current and former patients were impacted in the breach, the notice said.
