Ms. Nabozny, who worked at a private dental practice in Swissvale, Pa., filed for unemployment March 21. The practice has canceled all appointments through May.
“It’s a double-edge sword. You want to go back and treat patients and have income, but you are afraid,” she told the Post-Gazette. “You don’t want to pick up COVID-19 and bring it back to your family.”
When she returns, Ms. Nabozny said she hopes there will be better protective gear available to her, including masks, face shields and full-length coats.
