LSU Health New Orleans has broken ground on a $100 million renovation of its School of Dentistry campus.
As part of the project, the university will upgrade clinical areas and faculty workplaces, as well as create technology-equipped classrooms and improve accessibility across the campus, according to a news release.
Construction kicked off July 15 with a ceremonial wall demolition attended by university leaders and elected officials.
Nearly 80% of Louisiana’s dental professionals were trained at the school, which has operated for more than five decades and is the only dental school in the state.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
