According to a Nov. 30 news release from the ADA, Dr. Feldman’s leadership began in the 1980s when he was named an officer and later president of the Nassau County (N.Y.) Dental Society. He was elected president of the New York State Dental Association in 2002 after serving six years as the group’s secretary-treasurer.
He was named president-elect of the ADA in 2008. He served as interim director for the ADA during his presidency.
