Sathish Palayam, DDS, recently completed his 1,000th robotic dental implant.
The procedure was completed using the Neocis Yomi implant robot, according to a LinkedIn post from the technology manufacturer. Yomi is the first FDA-cleared, robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S.
Dr. Palayam services patients at Aarohi Dental in New Bedford, Mass. In addition to using Yomi, he is one of few dentists in the state trained in the LANAP procedure, a laser-assisted periodontal osseous surgery, and LAPIP, a minimally invasive laser treatment for peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis. He also travels throughout the U.S. to train other clinicians on these tools.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
