Meenakshy Yegneswaran, DMD, is the owner of Pleasant Street Dental in Worcester, Mass. Dr. Yegneswaran and Pleasant Street Dental were charged with one count each of Medicaid False Claims, larceny over $1,200 and Medicaid excess charges, according to a June 17 news release from the office of the state attorney general.

The state alleges that Dr. Yegneswaran and the practice billed MassHealth for dental services that were never provided and charged MassHealth patients cash for prescription mouthwash.

Becker’s has contacted Pleasant Street Dental for comment and will update this story if more information becomes available.
