Massachusetts orthodontist, hygienist donate dental supplies to victims of Hawaii fires

A Massachusetts orthodontist and dental hygienist recently organized a drive to deliver dental supplies to victims of the fires in Maui, CBS News Boston reported Aug. 18.

Richard Hesby, DDS, and dental hygienist Janine Opupele began collecting donations such as toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as other personal hygiene products to send to the area. 

They encouraged other dental practices to get involved as well. Ms. Opupele told the news station that Concord-Lexington (Mass.) Family Periodontists donated about 100 toothbrushes and several cases of toothpaste and floss.
