Michigan police searched the dental office of a Taylor, Mich., dentist after he was arrested on two felony drug charges, WXYZ reported Oct. 14.

Kok-Heng Chong, DDS, was charged with delivering or manufacturing methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house in Canton Township. Michigan State Police Lt. Ty Howard said neighbors tipped off police about parties at the home where Dr. Chong allegedly distributed meth to guests.

Dental syringes found with methamphetamine at the home — which require professional credentials to obtain — led investigators to obtain a search warrant for Dr. Chong’s dental office in Taylor. Police said the search found no wrongdoing at the practice.

Dr. Chong was given a $10,000 personal bond and is due back in court Oct. 23.

Whether Dr. Chong’s dental license is under review by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has not yet been confirmed.
