Minneapolis-based dental clinic Chicago Lake Family Dental was broken into May 29 as citywide unrest erupted alongside protests against racism and excessive police force.

The clinic was stolen from and vandalized, Ali Barbarawi, DDS, the owner of the dental clinic, told Fox & Friends June 4. Dr. Barbarawi called the police after his security company alerted him of the break-in, but the dispatchers told him they were unable to respond until the next morning.

“It was very unfortunate. I mean, it’s a loss for me; it’s a loss for my business; it’s a loss for my employees and the community. People have been waiting for two months for us to come back and serve them and now, out of nowhere, you have this big challenge and then the patients have to wait more,” Dr. Barbarawi told Fox & Friends.
