Missouri man charged with threatening to blow up dental office

A man has been arrested and charged with threatening to blow up a dental practice in Joplin, Mo. 

James Trotter, 68, allegedly called My Dentist multiple times over the course of a few days making vague threats before calling the dental office once more and threatening to blow the practice up. 

Dispatchers advised dental office staff to take patients to a safe area. Officers who arrived at the scene determined there was no immediate threat to the employees. 

Mr. Trotter’s bond was set at $25,000.
