National Dental Association Foundation, Colgate establish scholarship for Black dental students

The National Dental Association Foundation and Colgate-Palmolive have partnered to create the “Audacity to Dream” scholarship program for Black students pursuing careers in dentistry.

Students currently enrolled in dental school and demonstrating success in leadership, community service and research will be eligible for grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.

A shortage of Black dentists is one of several challenges Black Americans face when accessing oral healthcare, according to the March 2 news release.
