A dental practice in Rome, N.Y., recently opened its doors after storm damage forced the office to close for 15 months, the Daily Sentinel reported Oct. 2.

The practice first opened in 1939 and was run by different owners until Pablo Elizondo, DMD, took over the practice in 2015.

The office’s building suffered significant damage during a storm in April 2025, forcing the staff to rebuild the office and replace all equipment. Dr. Elizondo temporarily treated patients at a local orthodontist office until his practice reopened Aug. 17.
