The school received the grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. The school said it will use the funds to provide more care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Western New York and boost the number of providers trained to provide this care.
The dental school will expand its partnership with Arc GLOW, a nonprofit dedicated to engaging people with disabilities. Dental students will provide care to nearly 2,000 people with disabilities at the nonprofit’s locations using the university’s mobile dental clinic.
The initiative is expected to begin early next year.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
