North Carolina dentist agrees to $730K Medicaid fraud settlement

A Mebane, N.C., dentist has agreed to pay $728,450 to settle Medicaid fraud allegations, according to the local newspaper News & Record.

Zhanying Guo, DDS, who owns Complete Dental Care of Mebane, allegedly submitted fraudulent Medicaid claims between 2013 and 2018.

Investigators claimed the dentist would submit claims for treatments not medically necessary and without proper documentation. Dr. Guo also allegedly filed claims for services never performed or for services in violation of Medicaid policy.
