According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District, James MacAlpine, DDS, failed to file tax returns for years 1996 through 2000. Officials said between 2000 and 2017 he filed returns and self-assessed taxes and claimed he owed money, but he failed to pay any amount.
Prosecutors also said between 2000 and 2017 Dr. MacAlpine undertook various measures to evade paying his taxes, including opening and closing back accounts and filing documents to purposely harass the IRS, WLOS reports.
