Red Dirt Orthodontics has agreed to pay $583,090 to settle allegations that it violated the False Claims Act.

The practice allegedly submitted false claims to the state’s Medicaid program between March 18, 2022, and March 25, 2024. The claims allegedly identified an orthodontist credential under the Oklahoma Health Care Authority as the provider for services that were actually provided by an uncredentialed orthodontist, according to a Nov. 18 news release.

Red Dirt Orthodontics has locations in Oklahoma City and Yukon, Okla.
