The 5,000-square-foot clinic will be added to the school’s OU Health Physicians Schusterman Center Clinic building. Once it is completed, patients will be able to receive dental care in addition to their medical needs.

The university is expanding to increase access to dental care. According to the news release, Oklahoma ranks 49th in the nation for access to affordable dental care. The dental school has already served more than 285,000 patients, many of whom traveled to the college from other parts of the state to receive care.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
