The owner of Duluth, Minn.-based Downtown Dental Care pleaded guilty Oct. 23 to not paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes, according to local NBC affiliate KBJR.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill Oct. 8 that changed the language in the consent form dentists must provide patients with before administering anesthesia as well as moderate or deep sedation, the California Dental Association reports.
