Christopher Hayner, DMD, is the owner of Hayner Dental. He said the incidents downtown have put his patients and staff in harm’s way. A fatal shooting that took place Jan. 19 was his breaking point after four years of increasing crime in the area.

“Their safety, getting into the office, leaving the office, no matter what time of day it is. I’m relocating out of the Downtown Triangle,” Dr. Hayner said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
