If passed, the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact would make it easier for dental providers who hail from participating states to become licensed in Pennsylvania.
Iowa, Tennessee and Washington are the only three states that have passed legislation to join the compact. Ohio, New Jersey, Minnesota and Kansas have introduced legislation similar to Pennsylvania.
