Dentists learned March 10 about a breach of protected patient information. The breached data could include Social Security numbers, medical and dental information, and radiographs. No financial information was kept on the drive.
The drive is password-protected and doesn’t contain the commercial software programs needed to access the data, officials said.
In total, the practice said the breach could potentially affect 6,134 patients, reports KFOR-TV.
Notification letters were sent to affected individuals. Thus far, there haven’t been any reports from patients of suspicious activity, according to officials.
