The resolution recognized the organization’s “critical role in improving the dental, oral and craniofacial health of the United States through research, training, and the dissemination of health information,” according to a March 22 news release from the American Dental Association.

The NICDR aims to advance knowledge on dental, oral and craniofacial health and diseases.

The resolution was introduced by Sens. Ben Cardin and Mike Braun. Rep. Brian Babin, DDS, recently introduced a similar resolution in the House, the release said.
