About 70 percent of people in Hong Kong would feel more confident if they had a straighter smile, SmileDirectClub research found, citing cost as the leading barrier to doing so.
“We see great potential in Hong Kong’s dental and orthodontic care market and we are very confident consumers in Hong Kong will embrace the ability to have access to a safe, affordable and quality experience,” said Kay Oswald, president of international at SmileDirectClub.
Since launching in 2014, SmileDirectClub has treated more than 750,000 consumers. In 2018, the company expanded internationally to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom. At the end of 2019, SmileDirectClub expanded into Germany.
