Ending Sept. 30, third quarter total revenue increased 50.6 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2018. However, SmileDirectClub did report a $387.6 million net loss for the quarter.
The company reported 106,070 unique aligner shipments in the third quarter, compared to 72,387 in the same quarter the year prior. Average aligner gross sales were $1,788 for the third quarter of 2019, compared to $1,773 in 2018.
