Researchers predict 53,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral cancer in 2019. Routine screenings are the main prevention strategy.
With no comprehensive oral cancer screening program in the U.S., the disease has a five year survival rate of 57 percent, Class 1 Dental officials told KFDA.
Cancer patients and survivors who book an appointment will receive a free oral cancer screening, complete dental exam, full mouth X-rays and routine cleaning. These services can be worth nearly $500.
