Texas healthcare provider names chief dental officer

Uvalde County, Texas-based Community Health Development appointed Kristine Hynes, DDS, as new chief dental officer, according to Uvalde Leader-News.

Most recently, Dr. Hynes served as a staff dentist for the nonprofit healthcare organization. She was appointed to chief dental officer in early September.

As chief dental officer, Dr. Hynes will continue to see patients while also dedicating time to administrative work. She has experience serving as a director of a dental clinic in Durango, Colo.

Community Health Development is dedicated to provider dental care and other healthcare services to underserved patients. In 2016, the nonprofit treated 10,238 patients with no health insurance.
