Texas Tech dental school creates dental dean’s council

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Dental Medicine in El Paso launched its inaugural dental dean’s council.

The council will help Richard Black, DDS, founding dean of the school, raise the school’s engagement with the community and expand its network, according to a May 2 news release from the university. 

Here are the members of the council:

  • Gregory Caldwell, DDS. Periodontics and Oral Implant Surgery Specialist at Caldwell & Dimmitt
  • Michael Kelly, PhD. Vice President of Programs of Paso Del Norte Health Foundation
  • Kristi Marcum. President of Bank of America El Paso
  • Kimberly Martin, DMD. Practitioner at University Family Dental and Immediate Past-President of the New Mexico Dental Association
  • Teresa Montoya. Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of GECU
  • Shari Schwartz. Community Advocate
  • VJ Smith. Stakeholder Engagement Manager of Marathon Petroleum
  • Secret Wherrett. Publisher of El Paso Inc.
  • Sherri Wolf. Community Advocate
