The ADA received 19,000 responses when it began conducting the survey during the week of March 23, and new results have been released every two weeks. Its latest iteration polled dentists during the week of Nov. 16.
Below are the percentages of dental practices experiencing patient volume lower than pre-pandemic levels during the week of Nov. 16, broken down by type of practice:
- Practices affiliated with a DSO: 48.1 percent
- Practices unaffiliated with a DSO: 66.2 percent
- Practices with one dentist: 68.1 percent
- Practices with 2 to 9 dentists: 62.6 percent
- Practices with 10 or more dentists: 48.6 percent
