The two dental schools will develop and test an interdisciplinary program that includes two clinical research studies with dental patients, according to a Nov. 28 news release from the ECU School of Dentistry.

The project will help train dental students and residents to become involved in practice-based clinical research.

The program will be funded by a five-year, $3.7 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, the release said.
