Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota has requested $100 million in funding from the state to upgrade and expand its dental school.
The funding would be used to partially renovate the Malcolm Moos Health Sciences Tower by building modern dental clinical spaces to improve teaching and patient care, according to a Feb. 24 news release from the university.
The upgrades would improve clinical efficiency, support team-based care models and equip students and faculty to meet evolving patient needs.
On top of funding from the state, the university would invest an additional $50 million for the project, the release said.
The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is the only dental school in Minnesota.
